Timberhaus – Actor Dynamics in Climate-Smart Wood Construction in Europe

The construction sector is responsible for 40% of CO2 emissions, 50% of all extracted materials, and 35% of waste generated. To help tackle this, the European innovation project TIMBERHAUS develops circular solutions for sustainable wood construction.

Wood Construction

From Baia Mare (Romania) to Siena (Italy) and Berlin (Germany), we use strategy games to create shared visions for the European wood supply chain. Interactive and participatory game platforms enable stakehodlers to explore new and creative options for sustainable wood use in construction, building on wood-use traditions, and fostering inclusivity through collaboration.

Policy and Management Relevance
